Riker Mounts or more recently known as Universal Display Cases, a name that we first gave them years ago to more accurately describe their universal use for displaying all sorts of artifacts, documents and collections, were invented more than 80 years ago in England. Since then the original patent was purchased and production was moved to the United States where our original Riker Mounts are still manufactured today. Each display is made of a chipboard that is neatly covered with a heavy black leatherette embossed paper giving them that classic museum/scientific look that they have come to be known for.

Their unique design allows them to be used to display virtually anything up to 3/4" thick. No glue or pins are needed to hold the items in place as the soft acid free batting inside adjusts to the items thickness and gently presses it up against the glass front, holding them in place. Once the items are placed inside and the top has been put in place, side pins are used to hold the fully telescoping top to the bottom.
